The work at Rocketship HQ
Q1. What are three 3 words that you would use to describe yourself?
Curious, reliable, and chatty!
Q2. What drew you to RocketShip HQ originally? How has the company changed since?
I was fascinated with the interview experience and the testimonials that I read about the company. I also noticed how most employees at Rocketship HQ had been with the company for a while which spoke a lot about the work culture and employee satisfaction.
Q3. What do you like about your job?
I like that I am not restricted. I am allowed to explore areas that I think I may be good at, experiment with new tools, and learn new things.
Q4. What has been your proudest moment at RocketShip HQ?
It’s been 2 months that I’ve been here. So far my proudest moment was when I was able to complete complex tasks independently. For example, when I was able to generate cool AI hooks and received a shoutout from Aditya during a team call, that felt great!
Q5. What is a typical workday like for you?
Two days never look the same for me. On some days I am busy reviewing actor footage, assigning them for production, and prepping different versions for concepts. On other days, I communicate with actors, create concepts for ads, prep designer briefs, and make sure the ad delivery happens on time.
Career journey
Q6. What was a key inflection/turning point in your career?
This was sometime in 2021 when I was a freelance content writer looking for a break in marketing. I saw a post on an influencer’s profile where they were looking for a marketing intern. I sent out an email and that message turned into a long term collaboration.
I worked closely with her as a marketing intern, and marketing associate and even got the opportunity to manage two chapters of a tech accelerator program with the Indian and Russian governments. These projects taught me so much about what I know today like stakeholder management, project management, and marketing concepts, among others. Seeing my performance in these roles, the influencer, Yulia Aslamova also offered me a full-time position as a key account manager.
Q7. Tell us about a mentor or a person who has inspired or influenced you significantly.
After my parents, it would have to be Yulia Aslamova. The same influencer I reached out to in the earlier question. Yulia framed my outlook towards work. Right from work-life balance, and working hard to dreaming big, there’s so much I’ve learned from her.
Q8. What are some of the key lessons you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Something that stuck to me over the years is that not every day may be great at work. Some days may be a bit tougher than others but it’s okay as long as you enjoy the essence of it on other days.
I also learned that people appreciate it if you go to them with solutions rather than problems. Not all solutions would be ideal but it’s good to have a starting point. This is something that I am working on.

Q9. Tell us about your favorite travel & food spots or experiences (feel free to include more than 1).
Goa is my happy place. It has some very fond childhood memories which makes it my go-to place for short getaways. I prefer South Goa over North any day!
Apart from that I love Southeast Asian countries and their cuisines. I want to stay in Krabi for a long time in the future. I also love adventure sports so paragliding, flying a plane and water skiing have been my favorite activities so far.
Q10. What do you do for fun?
I read mystery novels, cook new dishes, lift weights, swim, and paint for fun.
Q11. What are the top 3 items on your bucket list?
Snorkeling in the ocean and touching corals, a trip across Europe, and learning how to shoot a rifle or archery.
Oh, I also want to own a plane and a license to fly it!
Q12. What is a fun fact about yourself that not many people might know?
When I was in high school, I had a pet mouse named Jojo and a tortoise named Toto and they both stayed with me in my hostel!
