Overview:
Seated is the first app that offers cashback for restaurant reservations. Seated has been featured in leading publications such as Time, Esquire, Yahoo!, and USA Today among others.
The Challenge:
Seated had hit their early growth goals through some very savvy PR activity and early work on paid user acquisition. With the app servicing only New York City in its initial months, they had to make the most of the few digital channels available to them on a hyperlocal level in order to unlock massive performance & scale to accelerate their growth. The Approach:
RocketShip HQ kicked off a creative testing program that targeted key high-affinity audiences on Facebook. After unlocking early wins in finding winning creative themes, the team anticipated creative saturation(especially given the small size of the hyperlocal market) by iterating relentlessly on key themes/concepts. RocketShip HQ not only doubled down on winning creative concepts but also aggressively tested new concepts & ideas on a small scale before scaling the new winners before older winners’ performance tapered off.
The team then opened up new audiences and new channels, and over a 7-month time frame was able to scale user acquisition spend by over 10x while continuing to keep cost-per-action numbers steady.
