Q1. What are 3 words that you would use to describe yourself?
Multi-tasker, Altruistic and Reliable.
Q2. What drew you to RocketShip HQ originally? How has the company changed since?
I knew Shamanth for almost two years via various Slack communities. In 2020, I was looking out for a job, and Shamanth was hiring for Rocketship HQ. Shamanth’s humility and thought leadership in the industry further motivated me to join the company.
The company has been scaling exponentially in terms of new clients and unlocking scale for existing clients.
Q3. What do you like about your job?
The company’s mission is to deliver the best output for its customers and its employees. This in turn, keeps me on my toes and I am continuously evolving and learning new things.
I took a productivity course, “Getting Things Done”, which helped me improve my workflow, and more importantly, prioritize my daily tasks.
I also took a copywriting course, which helped me understand the various ways one can think about messaging and hacks around mining messaging ideas.
Q4. What has been your proudest moment at RocketShip HQ?
Driving significant scale and ROAS for an idle gaming company.
We took a deep dive into the account and significantly restructured it to ensure a focus on the strongest geos, creatives and optimization goals, which immediately gave a boost to the campaigns’ ROAS.
Subsequently, we took a deep dive into understanding competitors’ creatives and player motivations as well as performant themes from other adjacent genres to formulate a creative production strategy.
Q5. What is a typical workday like for you?
There is no typical day! You make every day what you want it to be. That is what is great about Rocketship HQ – you get
- Plan the day (decide what’s important and has to be treated as P-0)
- 4 hours of focused work (reports, health-check of our campaigns)
- 3 hours of collaborative work (client and internal communications and ops)

Q6. What was a key inflection/turning point in your career?
Taking a 6-month sabbatical and then working on my B2B startup (coreah.ai).
The sabbatical helped me reflect on various aspects of my life. I started meditating, which helped me focus extensively in my day-to-day life.
The B2B startup, coreah.ai, was supposed to automate vernacular marketing. We had to kill the idea since Facebook introduced that feature.
Q7. Tell us about a mentor or a person who has inspired or influenced you significantly.
Ravi Mittal, the CEO of the dating company Quackquack.in. He was very helpful and had given me enormous authority to grow as an individual during my work with him.
Q8. What are some of the key lessons you’ve learned over the course of your career?
- Disciplined flow = quality output
- Humility is underrated
- Managing teams is hard. Respect them so they respect you back.
Behind the scenes: Who is ANIRUDDHA?
Q9. Tell us about your favorite travel & food spots or experiences.
Favorite travel: Manali and Jammu & Kashmir, India
Favorite Food: Khoya Khurchan ke parathe (Delhi Parathe Wali Gully). Khoya is an interesting ingredient used in Indian households to prepare desserts and is prepared with the khurchan technique.
Q10. What do you do for fun?
I listen to music (Sufi, Blues), swim, and hang out with my friends. Bonus points to you if you check out Home by Passenger!
Q11. What are the top 3 items on your bucket list?
- A world tour.
- Owning a house.
- Owning a multi-million dollar business.
Q12. What is a fun fact about yourself that not many people might know?
I played the part of Draupadi (a female mythological character) in a school play.
