Q1. What are three 3 words that you would use to describe yourself?
Creative, loyal and devoted
Q2. What drew you to RocketShip HQ originally? How has the company changed since?
To work on different formats of creative design and in audio visual projects without the need to be restricted by standards.
Q3. What do you like about your job?
The clear briefs and the flexibility that we have to propose varied visual solutions. This allows us to add our personal touch to solve problems.
Q4. What has been your proudest moment at RocketShip HQ?
Every time the team sends me a new assigned work! Because to me, it means that the previous one that I did was satisfactory and effective.
Q5. What is a typical workday like for you?
I wake up and while I drink a hot coffee with less sugar, I see the tasks that usually were set up earlier (in different timezones).
My bed is beside the computer so I would have already started the process, which usually consists of taking some characters (or elements to be animated) and using Photoshop, I prep to animate this character. Then I open this file using Moho software and I apply bones and animation to this.
Then I export the animation to After Effects or Premiere and apply the final edits.
Career journey
Q6. What was a key inflection/turning point in your career?
When I decided to go to university. It was far from home and considering that I was a soldier in the army during the day, going to a distant college every night taught me to value my time.
Q7. Tell us about a mentor or a person who has inspired or influenced you significantly.
My old father. He has not had academic experience, but every day I learn new things from him about how to be a better person.
Q8. What are some of the key lessons you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Time to produce has only one direction.

Q9. Tell us about your favorite travel & food spots or experiences (feel free to include more than 1).
My favorite food is the food that I cook. The last recipe was Chinese rice with shrimp. I have never traveled outside of Brazil, but I would like to visit some European countries one day.
Q10. What do you do for fun?
I draw. I’m currently doing it while learning how to create a video game project.
I make concept art, I also design poses for characters along with animation.
I am also currently studying level design, game design documents and all things related to creating a video game project.
Q11. What are the top 3 items on your bucket list?
To finish building my house, where I’ll have my home studio.
To learn more about the game industry.
To get married to my fiancée and have a big family one day.
Q12. What is a fun fact about yourself that not many people might know?
I’m quite shy about speaking in front of a big crowd, but I’m not shy at all when it comes to singing to a big audience!
